Working with Uttrly – How to Get Started!

You may have been referred to us by your realtor, have been following us online, or perhaps landed on our website while looking for help with your renovation. Regardless of how you found us, at Uttrly we’re driven by technology to make the process of remodeling and building simple and smooth. Projects large and small receive high-quality work, quick turnaround times, and clear communication every step of the way.

But how does working with us, well, actually work? Below are the steps we take to take your project from inquiry to kickoff!

Wishlist & Walk-through

By the time you’ve reached out, you’ve most likely compiled your “wishlist” of all the rooms and projects you’re eager to tackle and ready to price out. The first step to initiate your project is to reach out to us via email, our request quote page, or over the phone (202.681.0825). You’ll connect with an Uttrly team member who will gather the high-level details of your request and schedule a walk-through of your house, business or construction site.

During the walk-through we’ll capture important details like the dimensions of the room/project, finishes you like or currently have, and the design intent and overall vision.  Other logistical details like access to the property, whether there will be kids or pets on-site during work hours, and tons (and tons) of photos will be taken at that time as well.

Time for your Quote!

Once your walk-through is completed, we go back and begin to put together a detailed quote for you. We factor in UCrew labor cost, material cost, identify first availability with the UCrew that best fits your project’s needs and skill-set and determine how long we expect your project to take from start to finish.

You’ll receive a personalized and interactive quote from Quotient that breaks down your wishlist into line items that can be selected based on your budget and priority-level. Once you’ve reviewed and chosen your project items, the total will appear at the bottom of the quote and is inclusive of all labor, materials, and project duration. It’s also important to note that from here on out, communication moves from email to QuotientApp, our online communication portal, so no updates or questions are missed.

This is also the time when items can be added, removed or modified from your quote. If needed, an Uttrly team member is also available to discuss your quote in more detail over the phone.

You’ve accepted, now what?

It’s time to take our relationship to the next level and make it official! Once you’ve accepted your quote, our team is notified and an Uttrly team member will send you your Service Agreement for review and signature via Docusign and your deposit can be paid via the QuickBooks link you’ll receive. Both of these steps must be completed prior to moving onto the Project kickoff phase

Once we’ve checked those items off the list – together we’ll identify the start date that best fits your schedule and you’ll receive a welcome email detailing the things to know prior, during and after your project. On the scheduled start date, an Uttrly team member will go to the project site with you and walk-through the scope and expectations. Throughout the duration of your project you’ll receive frequent written and photo updates of the work completed and any other pertinent information that may arise.
